Guidelines for participants

Guidelines to prepare your presentation:

Presentation time slots are 12+3 minutes for standard talks (talk+Q&A session), 25+5 minutes for keynote talks, 40+5 minutes for invited talks.

Accepted formats for presentations are PDF or powerpoint, 16:9 widescreen format. A dedicated computer will be available in the presentation room. Participant cannot use their own laptops. To save time during the session and ensure smooth transitions between speakers, we kindly ask you to send your presentation file within September 13th at the conference mail address:  3Nano2026conference@gmail.com  

Poster size is A0 (841 x 1189 mm), portrait orientation. All tools for hanging your poster will be provided at the venue. In case you need to print your poster in Palermo, services are available at the nearby "Digital Service" shop (Via Michele Cipolla, 12). Please send your poster at the following address: digitalservice.b@gmail.com

Practical venue information:

The Department of Physics and Chemistry (DiFC) is located in Via Archirafi 36, part of the Via Archirafi sub-campus, just outside Palermo old city center. Central Palermo can be easily reached from the airport by bus or train. The bus service provided by Prestia e Comandè runs every 30 minutes. Alternatively, a train service runs from the airport to Palermo Central Station, from which the conference site can be reached by a 10 minutes walk. A taxi from the airport to anywhere in central Palermo should costs 50-65 euros. 

We suggest to choose your hotel or B&B in Palermo city center, ideally in the areas around Piazza Marina (15 minutes walk to the conference venue), Via Vittorio Emanuele (20 minutes) or in the area around Piazza Castelnuovo and/or Piazza Verdi (35-40 minutes walk).
